Same problem all the time! Again, everything works fine, when I do the same commands directly in the terminal, but I can’t run the script via cron or launchd under Lion. And I have tried all the tricks described here. I have also tried to run the applescript via the osascript command. Every time launchd tries to launch the application I get the following error in the log file I have also tried to set up a plist for launchd (with Lingon). However, running the command “open /Applications/Sleep.app” directly from Terminal works fine. While this all worked perfectly under Snow Leopard, it does not work under Lion anymore.
